Our Story

A Problem Rooted From Unawareness

50% to 90% of kids exhibit behaviours that indicates poor street smartness skills. This means that they don't have a prepared response in case of danger. About 43% to more than 60% of teens link with people that they have met through social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat. Most people aren't able to identify an trusted adult. In fact, 90% child perpatrators were actually trusted by the victim.

However, most people overlook the importance of educating their loved ones on the reality of stranger awareness.

Our Goals and Purpose

My goal as the founder of Iron Kids United is to walk into a more safe and sound world without having to contain a fear of the unknown. Oftentimes kids can feel overwhelmed when being taught safety that they feel forced to be cautious. But when they are taught in a more nurturing and uprooting manner, they feel that it is their duty to be more attentive when going into the real world. We use 3 steps to do this: Awareness, Advocacy, and Action.

How are we making this dream a reality

We go around schools and teach kids the importance of teaching kids stranger awareness. We create a more hands-on experience by teaching them as well as making them apply themselves using scenarios. We also host a podcast called the Iron Kids United Podcast. On this podcast, we bring on experts in the field to give us their insights on how to live in a safer and more responsible way.

Meet The Founder

Hi, my name is Shreelakshmi and I'm a sophomore at Washington High School. At a young age, I had the privilege of being exposed to martial arts at Ernie Reyes' West Coast World Martial Arts a.K.a WCWMA. WCWMA helped me develop my core values like Bravery, Loyalty, Family, and etc. State Management (which is one of the values taught at WCWMA) is to give in to society without expecting anything in return. Later on in my Martial Arts Journey, I became an instructor, which made me more passionate about boosting the future generations towards evolving in the real world. At Iron Kids United, we strive to empower our younger generation kids to have more awareness and bravery towards encountering the real world.
